Welcome !
The BTW Society of Evansville

Club News: (Club #3110) — Spring 2018 — This year, your BTW Society-Evansville, went all out for a Big Birthday Bash to celebrate Booker T.'s Birthday (historians say it's April 5, 1856).

This is our Annual 'signature' event, and this year, we featured our own version of The Booker T. Family Feud! Eight teams from area middle and high schools competed for a $500 prize and a humongous 'circulating trophy — to be displayed at the winning team's school for the year.

Stay tuned for the video!

Spring 2017 — The Evansville BTW society sponsored the Third Annual Booker T. Washington Birthday Celebration at the Lincoln School. Evansville's EyeWitness News covered the event and interviewed Pres. Archie Carter for local TV.

Message from President Archie Carter, Booker T. Boosters-Evansville:
Hello BT Boosters,
Here's an example of how partnership with other organizations is a win, win for us all.
Thanks to all of you for your time and efforts to make this and future alliances such as this essay contest possible, and an additional, heart-felt thanks to our VP Willie Taylor for making the Certificates up, under such short notice.
Let us continue to seek further opportunities to touch more youth with the legacy of Booker T. Washington.

Congratulations to Mr. Willie Taylor, the first recipient of the
National BTW Society's Unsung Hero Award:

April 5, 2015    Archie Carter (l.) (President, Booker T. Boosters-Evansville) is shown above, presenting the Honorary Unsung Hero Award to Mr. Willie Taylor, for volunteering so much of his time and expertise in helping to get the pilot Caldwell Booker T. Club off the ground.
Mr. Taylor, Booker T. Booster Vice President and a long-time Regional Toastmaster Leader, worked throughout the year with the Caldwell Club kids and their Club Coach to polish their poise and presentation skills and teach them how to conduct a meeting. He was instrumental in the Club's success.
The Award, announced at the Booster's Annual Celebrate event in April, and presented to Willie just this month.
